Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the environmental load excess ratios at the district-scale in urban areas based on the Ecological Footprint index, and considering characteristics of activities in the district. Result of analysis showed that, the environmental load excess ratios are more than 100 times greater, not only in the central areas and areas along the railroad, but also in the suburban areas close to the main highways.
