Abstract

The progress in portable computing in the past few decades has provided the means with PC or customized microcomputer based instrumentation to develop solutions to biomedical problems that could not be approached before. Detection of irregularities in the rhythms of the heart using customized microcomputer based instruments is a growing field in medical research.
