Abstract

The introduction of electric buses has played a major role in reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The energy consumed by electric bus operation fluctuates. This fluctuation makes the optimization problem more difficult. Probabilistic constraints are effective for optimization problems under uncertainty. In this study, the energy consumed by one bus operation was considered as a random variable. The purpose of this study is to improve the efficiency of calculations in large-scale problems. We used the solution of the cutting plane method for the optimization model of the electric bus with probability constraints.
