The specific objectives of this research are: developing a class V realistic mathematics teacher's book using the 2013 curriculum scientific approach. This study uses a developmental research oriented on product development where the development process is described as accurately as possible and the product is finally evaluated. Van den Akker (1999) called it formative research where the research activities were carried out in a cyclic process and aimed at optimizing the quality of product implementation in certain situations. The subject of this research is the public and private fifth grade students of SD / MI in North Sumatra. This research was carried out in 2 (two) stages.
