Abstract

This paper demonstrates the latest Smart Grid and Demand Response pilot projects results and achievements in UAE. It also identifies the challenges that require the introduction of Smart Grid, the investigation of the life cycle cost/benefits, the analysis of Smart Grid deployments and finally, to define the road map of Smart Grid and the pillars to achieve the required smartness.
