AbstractThe technique of using a 120 kHz sounder to locate concentrations of euphausiids and make observations on the vertical and horizontal distributions of the animals is described. The method of capturing the euphausiids and other micronekton using the BIONESS, a multiple net sampler, in conjunction with acoustic information is discussed.
