Abstract

A defect structure of the photonic crystals (PCs) filled with plasma in quartz tubes has been demonstrated. The finite-element method (FEM) was employed to analyze the properties of electromagnetic wave propagation in the structure mentioned in this article. The results show that bandgaps and defect modes shift toward the high frequency as plasma density increase. The plasma photonic crystal can perform as dynamical filter by varies plasma density in bandgap within a frequency overlaps area.
一维等离子体光子晶体缺陷模特性的模拟
