Abstract
Recent research shows the importance of evaluating children's feet as they grow, since persistent feet alterations during this stage can lead to serious postural deviations in adulthood, with severe consequences to the spine and joints. We propose a system based on an automatic classifier of feet alterations using latex insoles with pressure sensors and accelerometers combined with neural networks, in order to detect and identify possible alterations. The system can contribute to the diagnosis of alterations by health professionals and then act in the prevention of more serious health conditions during the child's development.
