Abstract

This paper evaluates QoE of the transmission rate control method of the haptic media for audiovisual and haptic interactive communications using TCP, which have been proposed by the authors, under dynamic traffic conditions. For further QoE enhancement, we adopt an active control of playout buffering time for video. In the assessment, we utilize a QoE continuous assessment method. From experimental results, we find that the rate control method is also effective under dynamic traffic conditions. In addition, the active control of playout buffering time brings further QoE enhancement.
