Abstract

Measurement of the consumption of electrical energy is one of the most important and burdensome tasks involved in the power industry. Many techniques are presently employed by the electricity metering agencies for measuring the electricalenergy consumption. However these techniques either need extensive use of manpower or somesophisticated technical facilities for transmitting the readings from the consumer side to the metering agency.
