Research on 2.5D Graphics Applications in Teaching

Abstract

It is an essential topic in the research community of educational technology to introduce new emerging technologies into the education field. Guided by modern educational theories and methods, in this paper, we propose how to use the 2.5D graphics technology in teaching, and discuss the advantages and roles of the technology in instruction, such as 2.5D animation, Web-2.5D, 2.5D-based interactive technology, and so on. We finally present some potential applications of 2.5D graphics technology in the future.
