Abstract
This research aims to relate intrapersonal skills including self-awareness, perseverance, self-efficacy and goal setting to the academic performance of a college of technology year 2 students. Two questionnaires were prepared to define the reasons for low average scores on the term final exam in Physics and Chemistry course. 102 students participated in the self-efficacy and post-exam questionnaires to improve their self-awareness and metacognitive skills. A methodology was later proposed to help the failing students to recognize their intrapersonal skills' weaknesses and work towards a better academic performance.
