Abstract

- The features of permittivity and loss in water-containing materials and solutions for 24GHz radio waves are considered in connection with temperature changes. Recommendations are given for assembling a measuring device based on a low-cost phase sensor of the security alarm system. The verification of the adequacy of the temperature dependences of the absorption model in water and ethanol to the results of measurements at a frequency of 24GHz is performed. The revealed dependences can be useful in assessing the temperature, humidity and impurity concentration of biological materials.
