Abstract

We calculate the static interquark potential between color sources in higher multiplet representations within the framework of lattice QCD. For pure gluon exchange the triplet potential shows linear behavior and the octet potential is screened. In the presence of sea quarks all potentials become screened. We try to explain the relation within a multiplet family by a Casimir scaling law.
