General-System Modelling Framework of Complex Activity

Abstract

The paper suggests a universal modelling framework of complex activity (CA). The framework composes: · the models of structural elements that represent the constituent elements of the activity; · the structural models of CA that represent the connections and interaction of the elements; · the behavioral models of CA that represent the behavior of the whole aggregate of elements in their interconnections. The paper demonstrates that the domain-specific aspects of CA are accumulated at the level of elementary operations, which are the terminal nodes of the logical hierarchy of CA, while the rest of the complementary superstructure of CA has purely system-wide nature.
