THE RED LAUGH OF TSAR HUNGER: MIGRATION AND TRANSFORMATION OF ARTISTIC IMAGES IN THE WORKS OF L. N. ANDREYEV OF THE 1900s

Abstract

The article examines the avenues of migration and specifics of transformation of artistic images in the works of L. N. Andreyev. The study shows how the images created during the work on the story The Red Laugh and the play To the Stars are reinterpreted in the play Tsar Hunger. Early editions and fi nal versions of the texts are used in the analysis.
