Abstract

The inrush currents which generated at the energization moment of an electric transformer can reach high values and cause some abnormal problems in the power system, and the sympathetic inrush current is produced in an electrical network during the energization of a transformer with the existence of other already supplied transformers. The present work has the purpose of eliminating these transient inrush currents. So this paper presents a data acquisition system based on dSPACE board 1104, and a laboratory setup experiment to measure the sympathetic inrush current.
