Writing for Translation

Abstract

Writing for Translation is not only a working principle for technical writing,but also one key professional competence that technical writers and senior professional translators should possess.On the basis of discussing the formation of this working principle and its operational norms,this paper analyses the change in the roles of technical writers and professional translators,and the need for development of new skills on both sides.In addition,a few principles are also put forward to guide the training of technical writing,which is to be based on translation teaching.
