There was significant association between selected demographic variables like educational status, occupation and residence with the pre test knowledge score p≤0.05. The mean post test attitude score (57.01±4.557) of the study subjects was significantly higher than that of mean pre test attitude score (33.11±3.443) at 0.05 level of significance. Conclusion: Postnatal mothers had poor knowledge and attitude scores regarding kangaroo mother care.
