Representation of the news president’s image on modern Ukrainian television (using the example of «TSN» presenters Sviatoslav Hrynchuk and Nataliya Ostrovska)

Abstract

In the modern information space, an important role is played by television news, which is the most popular form of information dissemination, and therefore, an important place is occupied by news presenters. After all, TV presenters directly or indirectly influence the audience and act as mediators between the audience and journalists. Researcher M. Margalyk wrote that: “In the newscast, together with the news, we receive some psychological support, or vice versa, we feel its absence. the presenter is such a face that you want to look at again” [5]. The recipient, in turn, consumes the key information that the presenter provides through the TV screen. this chain, in our opinion, is continuous, especially now, when the audience needs operational information from the presenters about the main things that are happening in the country. The article examines the image of the news anchor, his manner of presenting information, its accessibility, and most importantly, the peculiarities of image building. the image of Svyatoslav Grinchuk and Natalya Ostrovska, who are among the most recognizable news anchors on the “1+1” channel, was studied in order to better perceive information of a news nature.
