Abstract
An innovative and accurate compact thermal model (CTM) extraction methodology for multi-chip automotive power electronics systems is proposed. Compared to the existing methods, e.g. the Delphi method, the number of needed 3D thermal simulations is significantly reduced and transient electro-thermal coupling is easily achieved.
