It has been summed up that professional online learning nowadays demands a rather high level of skills and competencies formation in implementation of online self-regulated learning, and ,especially, self-control being its dominating component under pandemic and lockdown. The current article deals with technological, psychological, social and emotional difficulties which students-beginners face in the online learning process. The views of foreign and Ukrainian scholars are offered on the students’ online self-control profiling types , and their impact on academic performance, the quality and outcomes of University learning. Abstract

The given article examined the topicality, prospects of online learning and professionalization problems of the firstyear University students – future psychologists , during and after the COVID-19 outbreak.
