Abstract
In this study, morphological characteristics of five Salvia L. taxa ( S. verticillata L. subsp . amasiaca (Freyn & Bornm.) Bornm., S. tomentosa Mill. , S. virgata Jacq. , S. forskahlei L.ve S. sclarea L.) collected from Geyve, Tarakli, Akyazi and Sapanca districts of Sakarya Province were studied comparatively. Root, stem, leaf, flower and seed characteristics were determined and detailed morphological measurements were made on these organs. It was observed that the morphological findings were highly consistent with the previous studies, but some deviations were observed at the minimum and maximum limits of the measurement values.
