Abstract

In this article, a hybrid combination of two resonating structures, one Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna (CDRA) and a modified slot geometry along with some more additional defects in ground plane (GP) has been proposed. Multiple resonances of the combination offer wide bandwidth over the complete X - band. A U-shaped microstrip feed is also incorporated in the proposed structure.
