For a country, it is a responsibility and an honor that can in no way be evaded or claimed without bearing the lofty meanings it implies. The researchers differed in the knowledge of the linguistic and idiomatic origins of citizenship in Arab and Western thought, and even other terms were mixed in it such as civilized behavior, civic, citizen, which itself is derived from Greek words. Therefore, this research dealt with citizenship in terms of its concept, as it was found that it has a reciprocal relationship between the state and citizens, as well as its attachment in different ways, such as obtaining citizenship through birth or transferring it by inheritance, in addition to dealing with it from an Islamic point of view, it also shows its relationship between the Muslim and the ruler, and its goals in Islam are the most important The learner’s awareness of the positive concept of citizenship and its acquisition of the features of active citizenship in terms of participation and contribution, strengthening its concept and awareness of his rights and duties, as well as distinguishing the difference between it and identity, since identity represents a cultural affiliation to beliefs and values, while citizenship differs from citizenship, as citizenship is a guarantee of the rights of citizens in society As for its difference from patriotism, patriotism is an intellectual process, as well as a statement of its levels, dimensions, rights, duties, components and elements, in order to reach recommendations.
