This research examined selection the way to start business based on social media features at Telkom University student. The results showed that the students are divided into two groups, students who understand social media features in accordance with their perceptions (Group One) and students who understand that social media features in very accordance with their perceptions (Group Two). Students more interested in pioneering new business as a way to start a business rather than franchise. By using MANOVA, this research found a relation between way to start business with social media features known. Student of Group Two had a higher confidence in selecting the way to start business compared with Group One. Abstract

Entrepreneurship intention from college student nowadays is increasing. The development of Information and Communication Technology such as social media which widely followed by college students has the potential to support that intention. This research examined selection the way to start business based on social media features at Telkom University student. The results showed that the students are divided into two groups, students who understand social media features in accordance with their perceptions (Group One) and students who understand that social media features in very accordance with their perceptions (Group Two). Students more interested in pioneering new business as a way to start a business rather than franchise. By using MANOVA, this research found a relation between way to start business with social media features known. Student of Group Two had a higher confidence in selecting the way to start business compared with Group One.
