Abstract
Active Magnetic Bearing is an inherent part of an electromagnetic rotational structure which can levitate the rotor without any physical contact. The use of AMB is growing very rapidly nowadays in current industries because of swift progress made in electronic devices and control structure algorithms. AMB finds application in the areas of Aerospace, Maglev transportation, high speed precision devices, and bio medical apparatus etc. Finite Element Method (FEM) serves as a tool for this kind of numerical analysis. In this paper a 3D computer simulation of AMB system has been carried out using finite element method. Changes in the flux density and force are shown.
