Peak fires in the Amazon worry actions against climate change

Abstract

Deforestation in the Amazon is (or should be) one of the most important topics in the political debate of the Brazilian elections , this year 2022. The subject increasingly worries the country's public opinion and the international media. In this post, we will analyze the current situation of fires and deforestation in Brazilian biomes, with emphasis on the Amazon, as well as its relationship with the climate change process.
