Abstract

This article deals with the influence of constant current discharge of battery with focus on temperature analysis. For test purpose was selected 3.2V cell, which can be used for a wide range of applications as electric vehicles, photovoltaics and power storage. LiFePO4cell with a capacity of 40Ah at discharge currents of 20A, 40A, 60A, 80A, 120A together with surface temperature analysis was selected. This thermal analysis also contains infrared pictures using a thermal camera at determined discharge currents.
