Abstract
This study was conducted to develop and validate the instrument 'Quality Teaching Scale" for elementary schools in the province of Punjab, Pakistan. In order to guide the study, two research questions were raised. The population of the study was 29125 8th class students in public elementary schools in the province of Punjab. A sample of 797 elementary students, 386 boys and 411 girls were selected through multi-stage random sampling techniques. The reliability of the instrument was established through Cronbach Alpha statistics which yielded a coefficient of .942. Smart PLS was used to measure the construct validity of the instrument. It was recommended that a quality teaching scale should be used by schools at all levels to know about the real situation of teachers' teaching process and suggest improvement in case of shortcomings.
