Abstract

This article examines the philosophical concept of education by Sergei Iosifovich Gessen, who put forward and developed the principles of humanistic pedagogy. The essence of educational action consists in the formation of a personality, which independently forms its individual traits in continuous connection with the natural and cultural world that surrounds it. The complex dynamic nature of the educational process is revealed in a sensitive dialogue between generations as representatives of different cultural and historical eras, invariably aimed at a deep understanding of the spiritual understanding of human existence.
