Abstract
A novel design for a multi-sections Q-switched laser is proposed to achieve pulse compression. Pulses approximately 1.41 ps wide are generated using a six-sections Q-switched laser. Commercially available software is used to model the Q-switched laser based on traveling wave model theory.
