Abstract

We propose adaptive backstepping control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor working as an agitator of industrial mixer. The motor speed follows the reference trajectory obtained from chaotic system to get effective mixing. The controller idea is based on approximate modeling of system nonlinearities. This approach allows to avoid typical drawbacks of classical adaptive backstepping control.
