The research progress and direction of collaborative innovation are discussed. Through the analysis of knowledge mapping of keywords in the filed of industry-university-institute cooperation and collaborative innovation, it is found that the relationship between subjects moved from cooperation to coordination, the organization method shifted from the innovation network to innovation ecosystem. The combination of industry-university-institute and collaborative innovation is becoming a special research field that has special meaning and practical background.
