Abstract
In this paper, a phase-shifted technique based 18-pulse rectification is utilized to feed medium voltage drive-based high power applications like the petroleum industry. In the current scenario, the industries are demanding a large number of pulse rectification to adhere to the power quality standard IEEE-519. The presented four-level voltage source inverter (VSI) configuration has three two-level voltage source inverter (VSI) in which, one is floating VSI. The presented drive system is reliable due to the compact size. Here, a MATLAB/Simulink model is utilized for performance analysis of an indirect field-oriented control (IFOC) technique based 37.5kW induction motor drive. The performance analysis is made in a dynamics and steady-state. The power quality performance is found good at the grid and the drive end of this system.
