Data integration on MES in process industry

Abstract

This paper discussed data integration on manufacturing execution system (MES) in process industry, especially petrochemical process. The three layers model (ERP/MES/PCS) of contemporary integrated manufacturing system (CIMS) in process industry was analyzed. Then, the solution of MES oriented data integration, i.e., material balance and yield accounting was given. Finally, the implementation of heterogeneous data integration and its application in a petrochemical plant were presented.
