Analysis of Growth and Spreading of Fire Started from Engine Compartment of Large Bus

Abstract

Fire disaster started in engine compartment of large bus could lead to serious damage to passengers, this paper built a fire model of the bus, ran the simulation by FDS software. During the burning, heat release rate, smoke spreading, temperature changes and oxygen concentration were analyzed. According to the simulation result, suggestions were presented for fire prevention.
