Abstract
The problems of electromagnetic isolation between microelectronic circuits have been investigated and developed theoretically. A new technique of a screen based on holes in the metal has been used. Two systems of holes arrangement have been tested. The first one is disposed in an adjacent way and the other in a staggered arrangement. The two arrangements have been modeled based on the variational method. The trial functions of each case have been proved. The circle cross section has been approximated by a square or a truncated square forms. The transfer impedance and the transmission coefficient of TE and TM modes have been calculated for the two cases. The convergence behavior of the technique has also been examined. The numerical results of the two cases have been compared with each other.
