The proposed methodology is implemented for economic dispatch problem by considering the constraints such as generator constraints, transmission loss, ramp rate limits and prohibited operating zones. This method is experimented on a 6 units test system to get an optimized result. Abstract

The economic load dispatch (ELD) is an important optimization task to decide the generation schedule to overcome the increasing demand in the current scenario.
