Abstract

Today education is associated with information technologies substantial in regards to content delivery, communication and collaboration. Cloud computing is being adopted by educational institutions at a rapid pace because of the need for servers, storage and software is high in universities, colleges and schools. However, educational institutions are still effectively using old teaching methods. This research focuses on cloud computing implementation in Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT). It identifies a maturity model to evaluate the maturity of cloud computing that can be used in higher educational institutions in the UAE. This maturity model has been used to measure the level of maturity of cloud computing in HCT in order to come out with propositions that enhance cloud implementations.
