Abstract

The subject of this article is potential words formed in current time with the use of the suffix -schin-. It is well known that it has a negative connotation and is mainly associated with socio-political contexts. This model became more active after the Soviet epoch. The features of such words in the modern period are as follows: they retain a typical and generalizing character, but it is weakened due to their excessive prevalence; such words turn into stereotypes; they express mass irritation of citizens rather than genuine interest in social problems.
