Abstract

The paper presents the realization of very precise positioning systems studies for the orientation of laser sources in portable medical laser equipment. In the Part I article the kinematic structure and the operating relations were presented, the possibility of constructing an equivalent compliant structure was discussed and piezoelectric positioning solutions were analyzed, with stack actuators. The presented solution proved to meet the imposed requirements, having advantages in certain applications. This article (Part II) discusses the possibility of using piezoelectric bending actuators of linear bimorph type. For the operation with piezoelectric bimorphs, the connection modes are discussed, identifying the practical disadvantages and correction solutions are proposed.
