Abstract

Analysis of the post-COVID syndrome in children is an urgent problem in view of the wide range of its manifestations and impact on both various organs and systems, as well as the quality of life. The purpose of the study: to analyze manifestations of the post-COVID syndrome in children according to data of domestic and foreign studies. Material and methods. Publications on the selected topic in the PubMed and E-library databases (n = 63), which are widely available and meet the analysis inclusion criteria (two-stage and five-stage selection). Scientific studies included as follows: meta-analysis - 5, review - 19, systematic review - 3; clinical trials - 36. Results. The most common long-term symptoms after a new coronavirus infection in children include shortness of breath (12.8-68.0%), headache (17.1-75.0%) and fatigue (10.8-98.0%). Cardiovascular disorders and disorders of the nervous system, and mental disorders, registered in the long-term period in the pediatric population, contributed to the development of follow-up algorithms, models of rehabilitation and monitoring, which is especially important for children with cardiac pathology. Conclusion. The undertaken analysis of studies available in the public domain made it possible to determine the most common symptoms of the post-COVID syndrome, and also showed the importance of studying this problem and the need for a longer follow-up of children who have had a coronavirus infection.
