Abstract
Objectives: This study identified personality and life stress factors that influence dental hygiene students’ college life adaptation.
Methods: A survey was conducted from December 10-30, 2021, targeting 182 dental hygiene students at two schools in Busan. The data were analyzed via a one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, and stepwise multiple linear regression analysis.
Results: The significant factors that were determined to influence college life adjustment were personality (β=0.574, p<0.001), life stress (β=-0.149, p<0.05), and department selection motivation (β=0.379, p<0.05).
Conclusions: Based on these findings, it is necessary to develop a sampled program to increase personality and multi-faceted efforts to improve college life adaptation.
