Abstract
The aim of the research is to show the succession of the national traditions of teaching polyphony in the history of Aleksey Saratov Conservatory. In this article the teaching polyphony level based on the tra-ditions of Saint-Petersburg and Moscow Conservatories is described. The chronological stages of teaching polyphony in Saratov Conservatory are introduced. The pedagogical innovative experience of teachers-musicians L. M. Rudolf, G. E. Konus, I. A. Tutmanov, G. I. Litinsky, A. A. Brening is presented. They were
not only the followers of school of S. I. Taneiev (1856-1915) but the outstanding representatives of his poly-phonic school. The importance of S. I. Taneievv’s unique work ‘Convertible Counterpoint in the Strict Style’ is pointed out as its theoretical positions have been actively studied in the most prestigious institutions
in the world today. The scientific novelty lies in the substantiation that for all the years of Aleksey Saratov Conservatory exis¬tence the discipline polyphony has been studied at the highest level. As a result, it has been proven that each representative of Taneev school had made a great contribution into the development of teaching polyphony system in Saratov State Conservatory and had worked out their own specific methods of teaching which allowed a student to understand and master quite complex techniques for a short period of time.
I. Taneiev(1856-1915)学派的追随者,而且是他的复调学派的杰出代表。S.
