Abstract

Mobile devices have become instrumental tools for our daily life. As a result, people in developed countries carry them all the time. This has opened an active line of research to estimate the presence of people based on capturing the packages emitted by such devices due to the multiple wireless protocols that they include. In this context, the present work proposed an open-source solution to fully capture, clean and process the packets emitted by digital devices with 802.11 protocol capabilities to estimate the number of people in a particular place.
