Rys historyczny oręża polskiego

Abstract

W artykule przedstawiono rys historyczny oręża polskiego w pięciu epokach, tj.: epoce rycerstwa, epoce wojsk zaciężnych, epoce wojska stałego, epoce wojska narodowego oraz epoce współczesnej. W obliczu dzisiejszych wydarzeń na Ukrainie polskie siły zbrojne, które są odpowiedzialne za ochronę granic, pełnią jedną z ważniejszych funkcji w państwie. Artykuł Rys historyczny oręża polskiego ma na celu wprowadzenie oraz przedstawianie czytelnikom procesu zmian zachodzących w wojsku polskim począwszy od jego początków, tj. IX wieku, a skończywszy na czasach współczesnych. Członkostwo Polski w sojuszu NATO, a także opublikowana 23 kwietnia 2022 roku ustawa o obronie Ojczyzny są w dniu dzisiejszym podstawą kierunku rozwoju Polskich Sił Zbrojnych oraz fundamentem bezpieczeństwa obywateli Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej. Historical Outline of Polish Arms The article presents a historical outline of Polish arms in five eras viz: The Age of Chivalry, the Age of the Armed Forces, the Age of the Regular Army, the Age of the National Army and the Modern Age. In view of today’s events in Ukraine, the Polish armed forces, which are responsible for protecting the borders, play one of the most important roles in the State. The article “A Historical outline of the Polish Armed Forces” aims to introduce and present to readers the process of changes taking place in the Polish Army starting from its beginnings, i.e. the 9th century, and ending in modern times. Poland’s membership in the NATO alliance, as well as the Law on the Defense of the Fatherland, published on 23rd April 2022, are today the basis of the direction of development of the Polish Armed Forces and the foundation of the security of the citizens of the Republic of Poland.
