The devised adapter is characterized by a continuous and smooth transformation of the inner and outer conductor of the coaxial line to the top and bottom walls of rectangular waveguides, which can be considered a somehow different conception to traditionally used posts and step impedance transformations. Abstract
This paper demonstrates an X-band adapter, realizing transition from a single type-N coaxial cable to simultaneously four rectangular waveguides operating in the dominant TE10 mode.
