Mobile medical data access system

Abstract

The paper presents a mobile medical data access system, which can be used to exchange medical data between medical centres and a remote consultant. The system is based on high speed Internet communication over general packet radio services (GPRS) as a communication link between the medical centre and remote doctors or health care personnel. The paper also describes the design requirements and initial tests that were carried out.
