HUBUNGAN PERILAKU KESEHATAN GIGI MURID KELAS VII DENGAN STATUS KARIES GIGI DI SMP NEGERI 3 KOTA BANJARMASIN

Abstract

A bstrak World Health Organization (WHO) memandang bahwa penyakit gigi dan mulut adalah salah satu penyakit yang lazim berkembang di masyarakat diseluruh dunia. Walaupun terdapat banyak jenis penyakit gigi dan mulut namun lubang gigi atau karies gigi merupakan masalah gigi dan mulut yang utama dibanyak negara. Diperkirakan sebanyak 6,5 milyar orang diseluruh dunia pernah mengalami karies gigi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mempelajari dan menjelaskan hubungan perilaku kesehatan gigi murid kelas VII dengan status karies gigi di SMP Negeri 3 Kota Banjarmasin. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional . Jumlah responden yang diteliti 262 murid. Hasil pengumpulan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik univariat, bivariat menggunakan uji Chi Square . Hasil penelitian, responden yang status karies gigi rendah sebanyak 69,8%. Pada analisis bivariat, variabel yang berhubungan dengan status karies gigi adalah pengetahuan (p =0,000), sikap (p =0,049) dan tindakan (p = 0,031). Saran dalam meningkatkan derajat kesehatan gigi di SMP Negeri 3 Kota Banjarmasin untuk memberikan perhatian lebih dalam pendidikan kesehatan gigi secara terencana, terarah dan berkesinambungan. Program UKGS lebih diintensifkan dengan memberikan pelayanan kesehatan di sekolah. Although there are many kinds of diseases of the teeth and mouth but hole teeth or dental caries is a matter of teeth and mouth in many major countries.  It is estimated that some 6.5 billion people around the world has ever had dental caries. The purpose of this research is studies and define the health behavior teeth students of grade VII with the status of dental caries in public junior high schools 3 city Banjarmasin. The type of research this is a quantitative use the approach of cross sectional .The number of respondents surveyed 262 students . he results of the collection of data were analyzed using univariat statistics, using test bivariat chi square. The results of research , respondents who the status of dental caries low as many as 69 .8 % .Bivariat in the analysis, variable are associated with the status of dental caries is the variable knowledge  (p = 0,000) , the attitude (p = 0 . 04 9 and the act of (p = 0 . 031). Advice increase the health of teeth in public junior high schools 3 city banjarmasin to pay more attention in health education teeth in a planned manner, directed and sustainable.
